Going the extra mile for clients
Ravi Lautan & Associates has clients countrywide, however many are based locally and have been with the company from when Ravi’s dad, Roy started the business. A few have been around for 40-odd years but the bulk of the clients that I built up have been with the company for well over 20 years.
Word of mouth and referrals have resulted in an increase in its client base. We don’t advertise, we don’t go out looking for business. It’s because of the quality of our service and rates charged that we have acquired clients through referrals.
Furthermore, the company does not charge for consultations. We try to go the extra mile, even if it’s not required or part of our normal duties, we will still provide assistance, at no charge if we have to. In many cases people come to us and say they want to start a business, and they don’t know how to go about it.
Pensioners, non-profit organisations and schools are not billed either. Also, the company did a lot of pro bono work during the Covid-19 pandemic. We did not bill clients, wrote off accounts for the liquor industry, hair salons and more, as well as assisted with UIF and TERS payments for free, as clients needed it at that stage.Besides giving new companies a head start in the business world, Ravi Lautan & Associates also registers companies that want to bid for tenders with the relevant authorities.
